To whom it may concern
at the KRG(Kurdistan Regional Government) authorities;
We, ZENKO (National Assembly for Peace & Democracy) in Japan, are seriously concerned about the plight of those education workers who are organized in the Nationwide Council of Protesting Teachers in Kurdistan. According to the information we have gathered through our international network, their legitimate demands for promotion, recruitment, and monthly payment of their wages have been met by more repression and mistreatment inflicted upon them by the KRG authorities.
We, ZENKO, strongly condemn the hostile and repressive policies against the teachers and urgently request that the KRG authorities stop being autocratic and immediately start to meet the workers’ demands.
